In an effort to combine my love for this community and my desire to give back to a worthy organization through a totally fun evening of beautiful art and design (driven by the color turquoise!), great Texas music, and fabulous foods...the Melissa Benge Turquoise Ball was born!

Melissa Benge

The 2012 beneficiary of the Melissa Benge Turquoise Ball is The Arthur Nagel Community Clinic!

All proceeds of the 2012 Melissa Benge Turquoise Ball will benefit the people of Bandera County who have no access to primary healthcare other than the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic. The clinic, which averages 236 patients a month, provides primary, preventive, mental, and dental healthcare services to low-income patients who have no health insurance. Hopelessly overcrowded, the clinic is now in the middle of a $450,000 capital campaign to remodel and expand its facilities to enhance the quality of patient care. The clinic does not receive federal or state funding and does not charge for its services, even though a third of its patients voluntarily contribute to the cost of their healthcare.
